Topic: The Life....
Montserrat! If there is anything I miss more is the life I had in Montserrat. I went to visit my family in St.Thomas in the summer of 1995 and two weeks after I left the volcano erupted and that was the last I saw of Montserrat. I have lived in many different places since then from St.Thomas, Atlanta, Tulsa and now Oklahoma City. Even though I lived in all those different places I still miss Montserrat. I now live in an Apartment in the City and I work downtown in the heart of the city so all I see is tall buildings, hear car horns, deal with traffic everyday and a diverse population. I long for a get away. I remember waking up every morning taking out my goats, feeding my pigeons and letting them out before I leave for school. What I miss the most is walking up to Chances Peak with my friends on the weekends to pick Manciport and just go hiking. Just wriiting about it gives me the chills. Now I have much appreciation for the way I was raise and the affect it has on my life now and my future. I loved walking and catching rides to and from school. I loved when it was time for track and field at Sturge Park between the different schools. Just thinking of all of this destroyed is very heartaking. Most of the people I grew up with and knew very well has spread out all over the world andI can't seem to find them. I know that most of the Monserratians have moved to the UK, and I am going to take a trip to the UK very soon to see if I can find any of my friends. So now that I am all grown up the life I have now is nothing like the life I had then. Can't wait to visit Montserrat and get back the Life....

Nephew I can agree to everything that's writting in this topic. Once I began reading, I really began to reflect on all the things that I did growing up in Montserrat. There's so much to talk about and yet not enough space/time to discuss it all. It's really good that we can get in touch with some of the ones that we've grown up with. Seeing them after so many years is such a wonderful thing. Take care and continue reminisce. Love you loads! Aunty!
